Bryan Chambers is a seasoned entrepreneur and operator with more than three decades of leadership experience across the automotive, EV, and startup sectors. He began his career as a model maker and engineering technician in the 1980s, working with companies like Bendix, TRW, and MSX International, where he developed a deep understanding of product development, prototyping, and manufacturing. Over time, Bryan moved into operational leadership roles, managing large-scale programs for TierIs, OEMs, military, and commercial clients while building a reputation for turning complex challenges into structured, scalable solutions.
In 2008, Bryan founded Alternative Automotive Technologies (AAT), a startup engineering, prototype and low-volume paint and assembly manufacturing company in Troy, Michigan. He grew the business and establishing cool technologies in fabrication and lean manufacturing systems that delivered consistent profitability. After the sale of AAT to Penske Vehicle Services, he stayed on as Director of Sales, expanding OEM accounts. Bryan joined Bollinger Motors in 2017, initially as a consultant and later moving into executive leadership roles as COO, President & COO, and eventually CEO. Over eight years, he helped guide the company from an early-stage EV startup to a recognized player in the commercial Class 4 - 6 truck space. He led operations, built cross- functional teams, implemented lean systems, and oversaw the successful launch of the B4 chassis cab in 2024. His hands-on leadership helped shape Bollinger’s transition into a full-fledged OEM, including facility relocations, IT infrastructure build-out, quality system implementation, and supplier negotiations.
Earlier in his career, Bryan also held leadership roles at Saleen Inc., where he managed operations for performance vehicle programs like the Ford GT and Saleen Mustangs, and at MSX International, overseeing multiple union and non-union engineering and build low-volume manufacturing operations. Across every stage of his career, from startup founder to OEM executive, he’s been known for building strong teams, fostering innovative cultures, and turning ambitious ideas into reality.
Bryan is passionate about working with early-stage founders to help them avoid common pitfalls and scale with clarity. He brings a practical, operator’s mindset to mentoring; balancing vision with disciplined execution, and helping startups build the systems, teams, and strategies needed to move from prototype to production, and from early traction to sustainable growth.
