
Dan is a proven team leader, driving top and bottom-line performance. Internationally recognized as one the leading global business development executives, he has led geographically dispersed multi-disciplined teams nd have over 30 years of Aerospace and Defense experience with Honeywell, Leonardo/DRS Technologies, and Astronautics/Kearfott. Dan is also a subject matter expert in a wide range of systems and subsystems for commercial and military fixed and rotary-wing platforms (manned and unmanned). Areas of proficiency include flight controls, inertial navigation, cockpit displays, embedded safety systems (ground proximity, weather radar, and collision avoidance), data communications, UAV ground control stations, mobile HVAC ground-support equipment, GPS air-traffic management systems, mobile systems for homeland security, military vehicle fire-control systems, and mobile broadcast studios.
Education includes a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Detroit, a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and an MBA from Western Michigan University. Additional experience serving on the Board of Directors for a leading manufacturer of inertial navigation systems, and President of the Northwest Michigan Industrial Association. Lean/Six-Sigma certified and a licensed pilot.
