Southeast Michigan Sustainable & Resilient Supplier Program
The SE Michigan Sustainable & Resilient Supplier Program helps small and medium-sized manufacturers navigate increasing customer requirements, regulatory pressures, and climate-related risks. As large OEMs push sustainability and emissions requirements down the supply chain, many Michigan suppliers lack the resources to respond — putting their competitiveness and survivability at risk. This program provides the technical assistance, tools, and ecosystem connections suppliers need to reduce emissions, adopt advanced technologies, and diversify into new markets — positioning SE Michigan’s economy for long-term success.
What we do
The SE Michigan Resilient Supplier Program is a comprehensive technical assistance initiative that helps manufacturers become more sustainable, productive, and resilient — so they can meet customer demands, reduce costs, and grow into new markets.
How we do it
The program delivers support across five focus areas: decarbonization, manufacturing technology (Industry 4.0 & AI),climate performance reporting, materials & circular economy, and supplier diversification. Participants begin with a tailored assessment, then receive hands-on technical assistance, access to curated resources and funding tools, and connection to a broader ecosystem of strategic partners — including state agencies, utilities, capital partners, and industry associations. The program culminates in matchmaking events and product launch opportunities to help suppliers grow their customer base and enter new markets.
