
Gerry is an experienced technology startup executive, regionally known for propelling innovation, transforming ideas into solutions, and mentoring emerging talent.
Roston has made significant contributions across a variety of fields such as IOT, e-commerce, alternative energy, medical devices, specialty materials, and transportation. As a mentor/coach, he has lead programs focused on the Lean Startup approach and is regularly enthused by his mentees. As a leader, he builds a diverse team, encourages idea sharing, and works to ensure that problems are tackled from as many angles as possible. Roston’s core inspiration is to positively impact society by harnessing the powers of technological and business innovation.
Some of the projects on which he worked include: designing/building the rover on which the software for NASA’s Sojourner rover (the first Martian rover) was developed, being a part of the team that performed the first robotically-assisted neurosurgery, and developing key parts of the software for the robot that explored a volcano in Antarctica. Basically, Gerry combines being a hard-core technologist with someone who understands markets and business.
