Renew in the New Year
- January 15, 2021
No doubt 2020 was a rough year…we are all glad to see it go. A new year brings with it a COVID vaccine, a new federal administration and a pathway to better days.
For Centrepolis, it also brings an increased focus to support hardware physical product commercialization of cleantech and renewable technologies including recycling, climatech, and circular economy innovations. The Michigan Department of Environment Great Lakes & Energy (EGLE) has renewed their commitment to Centrepolis’ Michigan Cleantech Hardware Accelerator in 2021, as well as the launch of the NextCycle Michigan program, led by Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), in collaboration with the Centrepolis, and the Michigan Recycling Coalition. NextCycle Michigan provides an opportunity for businesses, investors, NGOs, trade organizations, and others to contribute significantly to the growth of recycling and the circular economy in Michigan.
With these new commitments, Centrepolis will be launching a new C3 Accelerator that support innovation in Cleantech, Climatech, and Circular Economy technology. A formal program will be introduced in early 2021 supporting tech companies in this area with one-on-one assistance as well as grants and loans for a select group of companies. Applications will be available soon. Stay tuned for more details.
We welcome in 2021 with a renewed commitment to developing more cleantech products and manufacturing technologies right here in Michigan!
