Attending ACE’16
- December 10, 2015
The Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurs (ACE) event is Michigan’s premier business showcase for launching entrepreneurs and introducing business startups and exhibitors to Michigan’s growing entrepreneurial community. A number of startup entrepreneurs and early growth stage companies will be exhibiting their products and services at the event and more than 750 entrepreneurial business professionals are expected to attend. This is a once-a-year event you don’t want to miss out on!
ACE’16 will be held Tuesday, January 26, at the Westin Hotel in Southfield.
Below, we’ve outlined the highlights of ACE’16, so you can know what to expect and how to plan ahead.
THE SPEAKERS
ACE’16 will open and close with two esteemed keynote speakers. Ted Serbinski, Managing Director at Techstars Mobility, will open the event and speak about his experience within a startup in the heart of Detroit. Rajj Fleming, founder of Brandcamp University, will close the event by discussing the art of branding and its implications to your business.
THE CONSULTANT’S CORRIDOR
The Consultant’s Corridor features dozens of tables that each cover a unique subject of interest to startups and early stage companies. Experienced business consultants from 12 different disciplines will be there to conduct a 20-minute discussion on the needs of your company with you, at no cost.
THE BREAKOUT SESSIONS
There are six open breakout sessions that give you a deeper dive into understanding different areas of entrepreneurial business and each session lasts about an hour. Panel topics for these sessions will include Michigan Support Services, Where Do I Start?, NEF Pitch Development, Funding, Overcoming the Entrepreneur’s Paradox, NEF Pitch Pit, a variety of subjects from the Global Automotive Mobility Innovation Challenge (GAMIC) and more.
THE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURABILITY WORKSHOP
New this year is the Design and Manufacturability workshop. This workshop creates an opportunity for team-based participants to go through the process of understanding unmet customer needs, developing a solution, validating a prototype, and assessing the manufacturability of the selected design.
This team event is limited to 20 people, and teams will be vetted by the LTU Collaboratory, so you should sign up as early as you and your team can to begin the vetting process.
