Flash Bainite
Flash® Bainite is a patented process for heat-treating steel that yields the strongest, most ductile, lean alloyed, readily weldable, least costly, maximum strength METAL known to man. Flash 500 at 1900MPa and 10% elongation exceeds titanium-6Al-4V's strength to weight ratio making it pound per pound stronger at only 56% the volume. Flash 500 is 10% of the cost of Ti-64.
Flash® Bainite received an SBIR phase 2B award for $625k to look at tool wear with flash stampings and was honored by the Department of Energy with the 2017 SBIR/STTR Small Business of the Year award. Learn more at www.flashbainite.com
